Spring 2012 Haute Couture: On Aura Tout Vu Lights our Fire

With the runway's backdrop lined with small fires urns, the first model came out dressed in a crystal embroidered leotard and quickly set to burning her matchstick bra on a small grill. The tone was set for the dramatic couture show On Aura Tout Vu. The creative duo Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov presented a flamboyant and playful collection inspired by the various colours and shapes of a winter fire.  Painted flames licked the legs of the models and made their way onto the designs of evening gown and tailored jackets, smoke effects were printed on over-sized organza sleeves, while Swarovski crystals erupted like hot lava on sleeves and shoulders, and licked the body at all the right places, providing modest cover-up to the transparent tulle dress.

Fur was everywhere, with silver fox on the cuff of a long asymmetric black tulle and lace dress, blue-coloured mink mixed with tulle on a short coat and orange-coloured mink bordering an organza cape further embellished with black Swarovski crystal.

With a white bodice embroidered with sequins and a flowing ruffled skirt in grey and black, sprouting smoke, the wedding dress was a fitting ending to a very hot defile. Bold and self-assured, the On Aura Tout Vu woman is capable of setting the world ablaze.
