Joyce Gallery, a well-known fashion boutique in Hong Kong, has collaborated with the independent art curator Stacy Engman to launch a new series of artistic collaborations for ART CAPSUL, a unique fashion-meets-art initiative that was started last year.

The ongoing series combines the traditions of fine art and haute couture, asking well-known visual artists to conceive unique hand-made garments that reference their artwork. This time around, Engman invited Ryan McNamara, Josephine MeckseperNan Goldin, Yue Minjun, and Zhang Huan to envision bespoke couture garments.

Their designs, which will be available on a made-to-order basis, are currently showcased at Joyce Central until May 30, along with examples from the (more interesting in my opinion) first collection which made its debut at the Palais du Tokyo during couture week in Paris last year.

My pick? A Peau d'Ane dress by Vik Muniz that has couture written all over it.
