Fall 2017 Collection by Krikor Jabotian

Krikor Jabotian’s Fall-Winter 2017/18 collection found inspiration in red carpet events of the 1930s, when Jean Harlow and Carole Lombard graced the silver screen with what is now regarded as a classical Hollywood glamour.

The designer described the collection as “an homage to a time of historic allure and femininity.” So there are light, flowing fabrics that gently embrace the silhouette, with a natural waistline and no corset offering ladylike, red carpet-ready versions of the backless gowns in body clinging sensuous satin popularized by stars like Harlow and Lombard.

The designer used shimmering fabrics , some embellished with embroideries, but the overall effect was a toned down approach, reinforced by the palette of taupes, for an easy, breezy attitude to chic and classic evening wear.
