Spring 2024 Haute Couture: Tony Ward’s Golden Ratio

Tony Ward celebrated 10 years of fashion shows in Paris with a collection around the theme of the Golden Ratio - the mathematical symmetry algorithm that underlies our perception of attractiveness.

Through curves and lines, the Lebanese couturier paid homage to this ratio. Geometrical patterns were translated through intricate embroideries rendered in exquisite 3D with the designer using 3D printed stones lavishly. Dresses were fitted for the silhouette but incorporated statement volumes in the skirt for added drama. Flattering corsets hugged the waist, sheer flowing material left a trail behind.

There were layers of un-matched materials, statement Edwardian sleeves in a palette of golden foils, electric blue, bright red, acid green, and deep lavender.
